TeamUp App Usability Testing

TeamUp is an app that connects people wanting to find partners and groups for sporting activities. I led detailed usability testing to understand problems with the app and identify areas for improvement.

Using a custom-built testing rig I recorded users running through a number of scenarios using the app on their own phones, asking them to speak aloud as they did so. This gave us an insight into the mindset and expectations of users, as well as detailed recordings of their actions.

Over 40 usability issues were then documented along with suggested improvements or avenues for further testing, then presented to the client and development partners. These then formed the basis of ongoing development for the product.
