Charanga Music
One of my additional roles whilst User Experience Designer at Charanga was in supporting the creation of educational music assets for the teaching materials that were the core of each product offering. I worked alongside educational designers and professional composers to create backing tracks for a variety of pieces. My role entailed taking a simple melody (such as the one above) and fleshing out a backing track that highlighted it and provided additional complexity and excitement without becoming overwhelming. I was also able to establish a consistent musical style which we used across a variety of assets in order to help cement the visual brand with a musical element.
